Central City was the main port on Mars when mankind first had to land on Mars. It was heavily populated by the rich and the political. The city is well funded and taken care of. There are no homeless, or middle class people at that living inside the walls of Central City. After the virus was leaked, Central City was closed off from the outside world, until just recently, has the Mars Republic been forced to open the city gates due to an order from Vanguard.
