Information: The Vanguard Corporation was formed back when earth was still around. Back then, they were a security corporation with ties with the military and NASA. When earth was endanger of being destroyed, the Vanguard Corporation stepped up and started to fund the trip to Mars. Once they had their hands in the pot, they soon took over the colonization of Mars. They controlled everything form who got to go to mars and who couldn't. At first they only wanted to the rich to live on mars, but soon they allowed the poor to come to mars as the work force. After Mars was populated, the Vanguard Corporation allowed the people to set up a government of their own, but again, they got their hands into it as well corrupting it to the point where Vanguard controlled it.
